Balance · Breath · Harmony
Where stillness becomes movement
Rooted in ancient Chinese tradition, our center is a sanctuary of stillness amid the flow of modern life. Discover the art of Tai Chi — a moving meditation that cultivates strength, serenity, and a profound harmony between mind and body. Whether you are taking your very first step or deepening a lifelong practice, you are warmly welcome here.
The Four Principles
Balance 平衡
Cultivate inner equilibrium through slow, mindful movement. What is steady in the body becomes steady in the mind.
Breath 呼吸
Let conscious breathing anchor you to the present moment — the breath is the bridge between intent and action.
Flow 流
Move like water — yielding, persistent, and effortlessly powerful. Resistance is dissolved, never met.
Harmony 和
Align with the natural rhythms of life and the world around you. This is where practice becomes a way of being.
Take the slow breath
The hall breathes on a four-count: four counts in, two of stillness, four counts out. Begin when you're ready — the circle will keep the time for you.

Flow & Form 流形
Deepen your practice with breath work, silk-reeling exercises, and the Chen 36 Form. Requires basic experience.
Tai Chi Sword 劍道
The graceful Jian (straight sword) form — advanced footwork, timing, and the focus of intent rendered in a single blade of silk.
Push Hands 推手
Partner practice exploring yielding, rooting, and sensitivity — the martial heart of Tai Chi, practised slowly and with respect.
Qigong 氣功
Meditative standing and moving exercises to cultivate life energy (Qi) and restore inner balance. Open to every body.
Weekend Workshops 研習
Occasional weekend intensives with visiting masters covering philosophy, health, and advanced techniques.
"In stillness, master the unrest.

Our Values
Patience over speed
We honour the slow path. Progress in Tai Chi cannot be rushed, only cultivated.
Tradition with openness
We honour classical lineage while welcoming students of all walks of life.
Body, mind & spirit
We teach Tai Chi as a complete practice — not merely exercise, but a way of living.
Community
The dojo is a second family. We support one another on and off the practice floor.
Lifelong learning
Even our masters remain students. Humility is the foundation of mastery.
The Path So Far
Master Wei Lin opens a two-room studio above the old tea house, with six students and one borrowed mat.
The first international workshop. A visiting Chen-family lineage stays a week and leaves a lifetime of questions behind.
The North Hall is built — 400 m² of pine flooring, high windows, and the best morning light in the valley.
The therapeutic Qigong programme begins. Our students now range from four to ninety-two years old.
Twenty-eight years on, the doors are still open at seven. The next form is always half-learned.
